These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Qalasi (“Qalasi”, “we”, “us”), operated by Javid Rzayev (Germany), governing your use of the Qalasi app and website (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
Qalasi suggests scenic routes on foot, by bike and by car - including step-free walking routes for strollers and wheelchairs - that pass through parks, points of interest, and pleasant streets, and provides maps, route information, optional turn-by-turn guidance, and the ability to save and share routes. Features may change over time.
Qalasi is an aid, not a guarantee. Routes, distances, durations, and directions are estimates generated from third-party map data and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsafe in places. You are responsible for your own safety. Always:
Do not rely on the Service in emergencies. Walking, cycling and driving are undertaken at your own risk.
You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account).
You agree not to misuse the Service, including: breaking the law; interfering with or disrupting the Service or its providers; attempting to access data that isn’t yours; reverse-engineering or scraping beyond normal app use; or violating the terms of underlying providers (including Google Maps Platform).
Qalasi is free to download and use. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or advertising.
Qalasi and its branding are owned by us. Map data, places, imagery, and directions are provided by third parties (including Google Maps Platform and, for step-free routes, openrouteservice using map data © OpenStreetMap contributors) and remain the property of their owners and subject to their terms. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
The Service relies on third parties such as Google Maps Platform, openrouteservice, Supabase, and Apple/Google sign-in. We are not responsible for those services, and your use of map content is also subject to the applicable third-party terms.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that routes are accurate, safe, available, or error-free.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and wherever liability cannot be limited by law.
For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential obligation (one that makes proper use of the Service possible and on which you may regularly rely), and then only for foreseeable damage typical of this kind of service. Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Qalasi and its suppliers are not liable for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or reliance on any route or information.
You agree to indemnify and hold Qalasi harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
We may update these Terms from time to time and will revise the “Effective date” above. We will tell you about material changes by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can object by stopping use of the Service and deleting your account before that date; if you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
If you downloaded Qalasi from Apple’s App Store, the following also applies:
